the adapter was a cosmo one for a 94-97 accord... simple install... throw is shorter, but not the shifter... anyone try cutting their shifter? that's what i want to do.

I'm just about to purchase a short shifter for my 97 CL...They said a little configuration needs to be done to it...Should I let them do it and then install it after?? What needs to be done?? Trimming it down right? Something like that is what I heard...

I heard the same thing. The accord one doesn't fit perfect but someone said the prelude short shifter is perfect.

that might be true, but in my case, it fit without any configuration of any sort. it was a 5 minute install... excluding taking everything apart and back together again... which took about 10 minutes. no trimming it down for the cosmo short shifter. not too sure about other brands, but it should work fine.
