he didnt "hit" me, but he did run me off the road(into a tree). so it was more like a "dick and run".

looks pretty good man
have you done anything yet to it, or are those the mods from the previous owner?
and i think a trunk debage would make it look a whole lot cleaner IMO

^yea i feel the same was as you, if i ever bought a wheel it would probably be a wood mdx one. And yeah i agree with you on the rims and the tv too, i just hate those flip out dvd players they look so tacky and so old. are you gonna get a new set of rims or no?

you might want to touch up your grill to it looks really faded. all you have to do is mask off the chrome pieces and paint the rest black.

and if your going to to stay with the silver and black theme i would suggest blackhousing your headlights, and get new turn signals instead of the amber ones either clear or smoked would look good

its funny cuz im planning on doing everything you said, the blinkers are going smoked, and as soon as o grow the balls to butcher my headlights ill do that too. i eventually want to paint the car black but that not in the neer future.

thanks for all your compliments, i know i need to fix the bumper guys you dont know how much it bothers me. baby steps.

Yeah that flip-out tv has got to go too, what is that a Jensen? And it covers half the buttons on the climate control! What is the point of putting those in a car like that unless it has nav.

The only advantage I see is that it moves it higher up and makes it more accessible. One thing I hate about our dash is that the audio console is mounted too low and a double din is blocked by the shift knob at times (manual tranny). Also, if you're trying to read the map while driving, you really have to take your eyes off the road to look at it.

God eye, it is a jensen and its not even touch screen. if i dont go with a pioneer 2-din it'll be one of the new alpine units. the volume knob works backwards (when it does) and im not putting my sub back there to get blown cuz my shitty head unit spiked. but living in miami the first mod will be a clifford G5 w/ blackjack, then ill get on the sound.

Well, the tranny gave up on me sunday night...........so i crawled it to the shop monday morning and got an estimate of $1,350 to do a "soft part" rebuild. Well they pull the tranny apart the next day and call me in to see a dissaster of mashed up gears and casing, not to mention a bad tourqe converter. someone rebuilt the tranny recently and didnt know what they were doing, they left out an o-ring and used the wrong barrings in some places and just ruined most of the internals. but to my surprise the price only went up to $1,950 with a free car rental (08' accord) for 4 days. so i agreed and got the job done. just picked up the car today and its running like a champ.

long story short, i almost got the car for $3,500. but i guess $5,500 for a CL with a clean interior, strong motor, BRAND NEW TRANNY, and clean body isnt too bad, right?

Another update: i picked up the stocks so if my knee agrees with me tomorro ill paint the calipers black and put the stocks on with pics!!!

not too bad, i guess it was cheap for a reason when you bought it.
good to hear that you got her fixed tho, i don't think my cl would fare the same fate if anything catostrafic(sp?) happened to it.
And did you actually pay $1950 for a brand new tranny or to rebuild yours? i've only really heard of ppl getting theirs rebuilt on here
but i don't really pay much attention to the 3.0 problems cuz i got the 2.2

Wow, that's great! How did you like the rental? I would assume it would be hard having to give the rental back.

Haha, that O-ring. I remember when I swapped the trans in my accord that I had just managed to finally get the beast in there using floor jacks and had to pull it back out from fear that I forgot the O-ring. O-ring was there on the torque converter.

thats sick that you got the CL with a new rebuilt tranny. i agree, you should ditch that POS jensen flip out. i've never been a fan of the flip-out screens.

i love the for sale ad on your windows, x2

wasnt too hard, it was a silver on cloth 4-banger. i like my car better, and the new body accord sedan hasnt grown on me yet. coupe is pure sex, but they didnt have any. its a nice car but the i4 is way underpowered
