just checking...

My cat went out about a week ago... I have no desire to replace it OR the money to do so. I found a shop that will take it and put a straight pipe in its place. My question is: will it be detrimental to my car, or better? I imagine a bit more noise but that's all I can assume. Let me know what you think/know. I'm having it done tomorrow, so if its a bad idea let me know ASAP. Thanks!

Put a resonator in there instead. And get O2 simulators so that you won't get a CEL for the missing cat.

Done. $25. It's a bit mean sounding, a bit more smelly, and a bit more powerful. I just hope my mpg doesn't drop too much!
