Good choice on the Amp. I go for sound quality over hit, so I prefer some 10" or 12" Infinity Kappas for subs.......

this should be in the a/v forum....but whateva....
if you want some amazing subs you should get eclipse alum or titanium 12's....they are awsome.

the jl components are ok.....the pirce is good if you got the h/u, comps, and amp for 700....not bad at all...thats a really good amp..... inifinity doesnt make good subs.....do eclipse...or if you wanna be like everyone else out there do some jl's...but i promise....eclipse are amazing!

also, alum or titaniums would match that amp perfectly (power wise)

How are you going to tell me Infinity doesn't make good subs? Just because they don't destory back windows with 4000 watts of power doesn't mean they don't make good subs. You should learn before you speak.

And to answer your question, no, the Amp won't overpower the subs. You just have to split the power correctly.

To answer you best, i'd recommend that if you want to keep trunk space, then get a

10 -or- 13.3 or 13.5 (i forget the measurement) jl w7 enclosed in a similar but ported box.

if you dont mind taking up a decent amount of space go with some jl w3s of whatever size

you please. Thats a nice deck, im not a big fan of silver plastic in our interior, but the

graphics on that deck at pretty nice. good choice overall, and once again, i recommend JL

1st off - jl components (XR) are quality speakers, if they blow its a free replacement

FOR LIFE (lifetime guarantee).

2nd off- the only reason "everyone else out there" has JL subs is because they are

simply the best (maybe not the best, but i havent heard anything better 2 this day).

3rd infinity makes a good product and eclipse is good but not the best.

I would go with some alpine subs...type R's

spending 300-500 per sub is ridiculous

My friend has that deck...its pretty nice...it plays mp3s as well rite? I have two alpine type r subs and havent had a single problem with them. They hit nice and hard and my gains arent even turned up. I would recommend those or the eclipse alum or titaniums are a good choice as well. If you wanna save space get a single 15" or something.

im telling you right now...buy an Audiobahn Flame series 12inch. It will run you back about $200-$300 each depending on where you buy it, but it is amazing. I have one in my car, running off the audiobahn 800X1 amp and it hits soooo hard

as for the jl xr's...i know lots of people who have them, and they are worth the money, they sound really nice if you amp them to a little amp, like 200X4 or something

The eclipse subs are awsome, I herd them when they 1st came out. JL's are great subs too, I've ran them in three car's that i've owned. Jl's pretty much blew away most subs out there. For clarity/loudness the jl's are the best bet. Digital designs makes LOUD subs but as for clarity they lack in that department. Infinity's are for guys that like to buy car audio out of magazines, in my opinion, they are cheap and lack in loudness/clarity. This is IMO.

Well you saying that all Infinity subs suck PISSED ME OFF. Just because you think you're opinion should be canon doesn't make it so. I don't care if you're impressed, nothing you posts makes any impact either. And as for buying them out of magazines, ask anyone around here, my system may not be the loudest, but it damn sure sounds the best.

thats quite a big amp for just 2 speakers...i would get 2 10''s or 2 12''s.

person i'd rather hit up 2 10''s (really 3) instead cuz 12''s are kinda big looking and

arent as clear sounding. Ive heard 12s in other cars but not a CL. Its a little too

punchy for me. I like punctual, precise, smooth and deep bass. Nothing that

sounds like its trying to knock my head of my shoulders. You already got a

sweet deal so far, so why not spend some money and do it right. I spent around 2,100

on my full system. I have pheonix gold amp running my 5 1/2 mmatts coaxials that

are custom mounted in my rear qt. panels. and jl xr in the stock positions. The rear deck

is empty, i have a fully ported trunk (technically speaking). 3 10w3's powered by a 500/1

jl amp. I just wanted 2 show you, im pretty sure you've seen it already( ), but it

can't hurt to show off

2 of the new kickers? something about kicker is just NOT 4 me at all..

like i said bfore, you got a good deal so far, why not spend some change and get something

nice to go with the alpine amp, kicker is not really gonna be that tough. Its gonna be loud, of course,

but if you want quality, mess with JL. Thats all i have to say about that-
