Wassup guys, so I bought a set of RH C5's from a user on here named Sooper down in So Cal and he was advertising on this site about these rims with one that was bent that he got estimated to be fixed for about 80 bucks.

So I got the rims, went to a shop, they said they couldn't be fixed. I went to another shop and they said that they could fix it for hella money, but it was a liability and would be dangerous. Basically, I didn't know this before, but they said that the rim had tried to be fixed before (and a bad job at that) and had been welded all around the wheel and it was cracking in hella places.

I talked to the guy that sold me the rims and he is straight up lying to me saying they had never been fixed and he got these estimates from shops, blah blah.

So what do I do?? Daniel aka Sooper isn't answering my calls or emails anymore, and I can't do shit with 3 discontinued rims... What do you guys suggest?

Shitty man. I would try ebay or an extensive search for 1 rim, will be tough when it is discontinued. Did you buy them in person, did you get a bill of sale? I would consult an attorney.

2003 type is right... i hope yall made the deal in person and hopefully there was somekinda paper work.. nexttime when u buy things off people ( people u dunno ) make sure yall write all the transaction, condition on piece of paper and sign them.. they'll never get away from this kinda shady deal.

if it is the 3 piece then yes they are discontinued if they are the RH C5 then they are toatlly available

i would take him to small claims court, try judge judy, judge mathis, texas justice

i would take him to court if you have the documentation that showed that they are fixabel and he said they are and he verified that they are, i would use thta in your battle against him, and shit have him suppena for the court trial, with another member to drop off the paper work sicne you can not drop off your own suppena

i would let small claims handle it and if he does not come then i think a warrent is put out for not showing up or something like that in the state of california

 

as far as i know if ya dont show to small claims the other side automatically wins, but the other party must be "served" pay the court to have a cop serve his ass, its like $70

SO after I posted this (coincidentally), the guy called me and claimed he had been busy for the past week, that was why he wasn't answering my calls. So apparently he's selling his friend's wheels, and he had no idea about anything, and casually never saw the discoloration and welding that was done to the wheel. He's basically claiming that he's not responsible for my loss because they are his friend's rims. Thanks for everyone's suggestions though, I'm gonna talk to him soon, assuming he will answer his phone again, and see if we can work anything out. Otherwise, if I can find one online, I would rather do that as opposed to small claims, and make him pay for it, otherwise, shit, its the summer and I'm not doin much, small claims it is!!

 

i suggest ebay or searching online for 1 rim...
