jumpy speedometer

I just noticed that my speedometer is kinda stuck from 0-~35mph. it'll get stuck at like 0 or 10 or 15 while i'm still accelerating/decelerating. it'll just jump higher or lower when i get to the next point. it seems like it's stuck somewhere. I have never touched/modded my speedometer, so i have no idea why it's doing that

anyone knows why this is happening?

thanks

that would be my guess. does the tranny shift ok? if its having trouble in lower speed shifts that could be the problem.

what's vss?

it shifts like how it used to shift b4, doesn't always shift smoothly but doesn't have any significant jerks or anything either.
