Ive Had It !!! Extreme Weight Reduction

THATS IT !!! after reading this article http://superstreetonline.com/feature...30_0509_civic/ and looking at that car for a good 20 minutes, im taking my ENTIRE interior apart, from panel to panel, speakers, EVERYTHING and doing some sand and prep work to get it painted all Gloss black like the majority of it is already. Im going to completely chip ALL tar out of the rear and take time masking my windows, and upper trim so i can paint the cross members. The whole car will be completely gutted. My sparcos and my wheel ive got so im set and ready for a weekend long project.

well, im down to 27xx pounds from 3090 soooo, deduct another 200 or so, not including the rims i plan to install next month ( waiting for discount tire to get the ones i wants a realistic 2450-2560 pounds total which, at a conservative average of a 180 hps is ...quite fast. im not sure though, a corolla type s for example,..weighs 2490 pounds with 130 hp and 130 tq or around theres. They run 15.5 stock with a good driver, ( as proven from various members on vvti.net and 9thgencorolla.org/com So... with a similar weight and 50 more hps with around 40 more tqs, power to weight ratio given the tire diameter and roll out should yield mid 14s na mabye lower because the corolla is also geard much much much differently and has very long gears past 2nd ( longer than ours )

Seeing i ran just shy of 15 secs ( 14.9x ) with interior and the best et i could wish for its likely i may be able to push my trap and 1/4 into the mids. On the bottle however, idk. Shiney has those answers, hes the nitrous king on here as far as first gens go. ngga is in the 13s theoreticly with slicks < cant fucks with that just yet.

i like the whole weight reduction thing, but this is your daily driver for christ sakes and now your taking out your speakers!?!?!?! did you put your I/M and T/B on yet. why dont you just do an H22 or F20B swap if you want to go fast. you can still keep your accesories and interior then?

im buying a dialy driver...this car is for fun only The whole interior is gone now, and ive taped everything for paint. Still have to sand and clean, but then gloss black. Ive got one door done so far. i need another pint of paint. Car is FUCKING light. I wanted the body of a cl but the weight of a civic. Just to let you guys know.....when you wash your rides, water gets into the door and all over the wires, and window reg , etc.... thats why theres that white plastic on the sub frame to keep it from hitting the foam on the inside of the door molding ( panels ) .. with EVERYTHING gone and painted...its alot cooler looking, and alot easier to completely clean and dry your car. Thats also why theres small drain holes tward the bottom of the door. its to let the water that enters the door through the moldings and cracks to escape.

to be honest, i think i will. just to see. ive actualy always wonderd just how much shit weighs. I here people say "shit a brick" all the time...its time to find otu just how much a large healthy, firm brown shit weights. Ill shit in a bag and weigh it on my scale after i eat a large 4 course meal and 3 smaller meals during the day.

( im a scant 148 ) so it will be interesting.

I can post pics too
