Its time!!

Well, its time for me to get an exhaust, mine is starting to rot out, and I want something new on there before I develop a big hole. I want something with a fairly subtle sound, nothing ricey... just a low, fairly mellow tone. What is everyone using?? and how does it sound? I kinda also want something with dual tips, but thats not a priority. I know someone locally that mandrel bends, and uses 304 stainless steel piping, he did a full exhaust on my friends blazer, with a muffler for $110. So i'm gonna go that route, I just want to know what kind of muffler to get... the only people around here with exhausts have DC and Greddy on their Civics, and they are too loud. Any help is greatly appretiated.

i would suggest buying a complete cat-back system. I highly recomend a greddy power extreme or evolution. I had the evolution on my integra, it souned smooth & low..

He can't buy a cat back... not on a 3.0. You have to get the pipe custom done. Should cost like $100 for the piping plus whatever muffler he wants. Quiet huh? There is almost no such exhaust. Maybe find an exhaust w/a silencer, they seem to work ok. Find an exhaust that you like the look of. I'm pretty picky and only like the Greddy SP look. It's a personal taste, just don't get too cheap and cheesy and exhaust .

What I dont understand, is how is the 3.0 exhaust any different than a 2.2/2.3?? Its the same chassis, just a different engine. I know the muffler is bigger on the 3.0, but why wont a cat back fit on there for an accord? I definatly like the Apexi dunk exhaust, and the Greddy that has the same offset design... has anyone ever heard either of these?? Of course i'm not looking to keep the exhaust as quiet as stock... I do want it louder, just not obnoxiuosly loud like some riced out cars.

sup guys...

I just got an OBX dual tipped exhaust with custom 2.25 piping. It sounds real nice....nice, low and mellow. Not too loud...not too soft. Perfect. It's got rounded dual tips that are bent upwards.

Does anyone know for sure if a fullcat-back exhaust from the 2.2, 2.3 will not fit on the 3.0cL. I now that the headers on the 3.0 hang a little lower then the 2.2-3's. But, will that restrict more air from flowing through the exhaust? since it's a bigger engine and more then likely there is more spent gases being pushed out won't that restrict spent gas flow?

v6 engines with aftermarket exhausts tend to be more quiet compared to 4 bangers with exhausts for some reason...
