Interior Dye.. (Shit)

While I was at Murray's, I saw some dupli-color dye, for fabric/vinyl surfaces, I bought like 2 cans and since my doorpanels and whatnot were off already, due to setting up wires, and having to get my window regulator fixed now..

I sprayed a coat onto the door pillars and it chipped within 2 hours..

Any idea's on what brands are good and wont chip?

you need to prep the pieces first and have a hardener to the coat as well as another coat i forgot to do on my engine pieces as well but my uncle told me it was something but i cant remember but it keep the paint together as a whole and prevents chipping, almost like a sealer, pm and well chart some more or hit me up on aol im @ jgiguere17

paint can easily peel regardless... I have my interior dyed and the only parts that I ever had to touch up were my door sills because of boot rubbing and I used Dupli-Color too... The vinyl parts should NOT peel... The vinyl absorbs the dye... Its not painted over.. it actually saturates... my guess is that you NEVER prepped the doors (dyed areas).... You should windex the doors, dry them good and then I also Alcohol them... You might want to try peeling it all off... but I warn you that now that you sprayed them if you dont clean all that first spray off it will never look right!!!!

Im letting it sit out in the sun, and also, to go around the vinyl in the doorpanel, I shoudl just mask tape over it, and cut along the edges? Or should I just take it out?

That stuff shouldn't chip unless it metal or a non porous material. the vinyl dye I been using a lot on different things. It goes straight into it. That stuff is pretty good for plastic because it doesn't require much preping besides like a bit of cleaning and it very fast to dry.
