Intake manifolds worth the money?

Found a venom intake manifold for a 97 CL 2.2. Anyone know if they're worth $475?

Definately! It was one of the later mods I did and it seems that it was limiting the potential of the other upgrades. Easy install and well worth the money.

FYI, make sure you get the right cap. Accel doesnt make one (found out the hard way). Had to get a Crane Cams external coil capable cap.

i thought about this mod awhile back. how hard is it to install. it seems like the engine would have to be taken out, or at least alot of things removed in order to get it out. even with i/h/e i hear u should get a fpr to make sure ur not running lean at WOT. so an intake manifold is even more air flow. i talked to some guy who had a probe and he said it made a bigg difference. i wonder how it works. will u loose a lot of low end like with a cai??

I had a probe that was ported and polished, It made a huge difference. You might want to think about upgrading your ignition system, your fuel pump, fuel rail, and fuel injectors. If you have the money I would say go for it. It does look like it would be a pain in the ___ to switch them out, but you could always go to a parts store and pick up the manual for our car and see what steps you have to take to get it out.

That website you want to get it from sucks. It took them 3 months to get me my venom 400. But it did eventually come.

venom 400 is awesome if ur modded. i hated it stock. it will throw u into ur seat when that litte red led lights up. its a cool toy but i dont like it for everday driving. i feel it would be too hard on the engine. python says no, but i dont care. if u want to race it fuckin helps A LOT. also i have all the correct wire colors and install info from venom. incase u need it.
