Intake Installation

Do any of you guys know of a link where it shows detailed instructions on how to install a regular intake. I want to get one of those generic ones on ebay but not sure how to put it in, especially those little hoses. Where exactly do those go?

Where exactly do you connect those two hoses coming out of the intake tube?

The "breather" hoses will become apparent as you dismantle the stock air system. The hoses get disconnected from the stock plastic tubing and will go right on the aftermarket intake.

Don't worry, as you do it, it becomes obvious!

I'll post a pic, but fotki.com (my hosting site) isn't working at the moment.

the one hose from the back of the intake goes to the lower part of the manifold, the one on the front goes to the line where the tube is part plastic and part metal

The red arrows show where the hoses will attach to the intake.

When you remove the hoses from the stock plastic intake, don't remove the other ends from the engine. This way you can reattach the hoses directly to your aftermarket intake.

[Keep in mind that the "rear" hose on my CL was blue at the time I took this pic. The blue hose was aftermarket. Your hoses will both be black.]

one of the hose goes under the TB and the other one is to the head in front (this is where i got my white breather and no oil mess there at all).

i installed a AEM CAI not too long ago and ran into the problem w/ the front breather hose. it's exactly the same size at the "nipple" on the intake, so i just went to the autopart and the guy that works there cut me a short piece that goes over and sleeves both parts together and i just clap it down.
