Intake install ?

Intake install ?

Here's the piece I'm talking about:


The instruction that came with the V2 said to replace that whole system. In taking a look at it and I can't figure out why the hell they did this (it's the same piece):


Is there a reason for that piece of rubber going up and over? Is it a vacuum effect? And is there a reason I can't just run a straight shot:


Did anyone else replace that piece when they did it, and do you have pictures?

i installed my intake the same as you did from looking at your pictures. there was one small hose from the old intake and i connected it to the new intake with the rubber housing provided

Don't remove that vaccuum line, just extend it if necessary
