Hey is there any way to get rid of that humming sound on my 3.0?except for taking my aftermarket intake out and putting the stock one back in? will a different filter help stop it? Ya 3.0 with intake know what i'm talking about.

That intake upgrade turn my car into a H3.

nah i've been humming for awhile now....been bugging me but i dont know what to do with it.

i know wat you guys talkin about but i kinda like the sound of the intake under the hood

 

Put in a Helix Power Tower!

Turns the humming into a "turbo spooling-up sound".

 

Then people will THINK you have a fast car at least!! hehe

hahahah.......rightnow it sound like i got something sereious under the hood.

 

i like to park and chill sometime.....and now its cold as hell outside and i needa keep the car on but it hum.

 

Does yours hum all the time or is it just like a little whistle when the throttle is in a certain position? If it's all the time then that's just the vacuum the engine creates, if it's the second thing I said then we have the same problem.

Either way i dunno if anything can really change it because I've taken my filter completely off and revved the engine a few times (I know not smart I'll never do it again) and it sounded exactly the same.

 

nah its just a normal hum every 3.0 in here have with a aftermarket intake.

 

Yeah i guess it's just the vacuum...im sure you hear it fart, or go psssshhh, when you shut off the car. right?

i have a 2.3 and my car used to make like hum noise, but thats due to the steel when i extended my intake to the bottom, it made that nosie when the air passed through it, but since its wintertime, i took it off and it is short ram a gain, no more hum noise, and i like the whistle noise i get when i accel or when i tiurn off the engine, never knew how much i appreciated having the windows down, sounds real nice.
