insurance company woes

So, I have gotten all of my problems resolved with my insurance company... they are going to pay to fix my car. Had about 1500 bucks of damage done to the left rear fender on my car by some ass without insurance. They denied my claim and said they wouldnt pay for it.. I was like what the hell I pay so much a month for full covereage it isnt funny and you pull this? FUCK STATE FARM. Two months later they admit that they have to pay for it minus my $250.00 deductable. I am kind of leary about having them as my insurance compnay after this ordeal... any one else had a bad experience with an insurance company? Who do ya recommend? I loved State Farm until now. ACK!!! Thanks.

Yea..i have statefarm and they WERE cool...im only 18 so i pay my my payments every three months (which is like $450 every 3 months) so recently i paied for 3 months coverage and then 30 days later i get another bill in the mail and they want another $450 in 30 days! Soo basicily my 3 month period changed to 2! this is gay! I hate insurance companys!

Do you guys insure all yoru aftermarket mods?? I asked my agent and he said not to claim them but if anything happend to them, make sure i have proof of them like a box or picts or anything...u think that will work??

i got usaa, i got in my accident and they told me either pay the 500$ deductable or ill have to contact the lady who hit me's insurance co. in canada. litterally told me w/o the 500$ deductable i was on my own. they said they might be able to get the 500$ back from her insurance co. i dont have 500$ to might get back. eather way, it worked out ok cause shes giving me the 2300$ to get my car fixed and im giving usaa the 500$deductable and im buyin some new rims.

I can't see the insurance companies liking nitrous use too much in particular.. I used to have a $3000 stereo and paid $10 more a month to extend comphrehensive coverage above $1500. If your car's worth more than the book value because of mods, you may get an argument if the thing gets totalled about them paying for the book value plus mods. Serial number recording is important for electronics, there's no other way to prove it's yours. Insurance companies are right down there on my respect list. Gov't needs to do something to keep these guys in line.

I like nationwide....had them for 9 years, parents had them forever.....They cut you a check the SAME day when the estimate the damage!!! and if the estimate is low...they automatically wire more money to the body shop and the claims people even give you their cell phone number to make sure everything is ok....I even complained about getting a nissan sentra rental and they bumped me up to a altima. Altima still sucks tho(4cyl.)....keep in mind this is friendly north carolina.....as we dont wait 30 days to get our cars fixed.....there are more body shops here than there are most places...

insurance

I have 21st insurance co., I admit they're really steep but I've had great service and they get sh!t done quick like ramen. Besides I've been through all kinds of insurances like farmers even dashers. but with all the tickets that I had from my pre 21 days plus getting locked up for racing......I can't complain.

I have USAA and they're awesome. They cover all aftermarkets parts free of charge. I've only had to file one claim with them and they were curteous and prompt. Nothing but good things to say about them.

I highly recommend AAA. Premiums are very affordable, but you must be a member of AAA.

so dennis usaa hooked u up? do they want receipts for aftermarket parts or just word of mouth? that might be a deciding factor on weather i keep them or not. cause its pretty hard to get money for aftermarket stuff in other insuance companys.

Yeah they wanted receipts and everything but I know a couple shop owners. I got my lip molded and new exaust, eventhough I already paid for the exaust. He just wrote up a receipt for everything and told the insurance agent that i had that stuff on the car before. So in all actuality, the shop owner really hooked it up but USAA didn't give me any hassles. They also don't have any field agents in Hawaii so it's not like they can look for themselves.

State Farm paid for my car (plus the other 3 that I damaged--my car alone was about $5500) and raised my insurance about $800 per year!
