how old are you? tickets? accidents? your neighborhood? these are all factors to calculate your insurance rate. i think i pay only like under 900 for 6 mos in my college town. if i put my miami address, that would be at least 2x as much

5 speeds and in speeding tickets? and an accident?

forget it, you're fucked.

maybe you can put it under your parents and have you as a secondary driver (if you haven't done that already)

Can't put it under parents since they live 3000 miles away wish I could like all the rest of these fucks that are rich and go to this school and have their rents pay for their cars and for their insurance.

I pay $3600 a year for my 99 3.0 and thats on my parents perfect insurance too. although i do have a clean record. I'm 19 and since I'm on my parents insurance I also have to be covered on my moms 2000 300M, my dads 2003 Wrangler, and both of his Harleys. (98 Sportster Sport 1200 and 2003 Fat Boy) So this adds to the cost of having me on. If your parents have nice/expensive cars or whatever then it will still be alot to be on their insurance. Although probably not as much as you are paying now.

Depends, is that for full coverage or liability. For liabilities, u can get discounts if the car has daytime running lights, airbags, automatic seatbelts, etc. More safety items, the cheaper the insurance. So in theory yes it can be cheaper if u switch the car.

oh yeah I have minimum coverage on everything and the highest deductible you can have so the bare minimum for everything comes out to $3700

do a search for some old threads where people ask this question. Alot of the older guys (I'm 25) are paying very little for insurance ($1190 for full coverage for a year/$1000 deductible). If your record is clean and you live in a desirable zipcode, then depending on your age you'll get a better rate. I live in Downtown Atlanta btw. 5 tickets at 19, I'm kinda surprised your company has kept you insured.

That's too damn pricey dude...I'm 22 and pay $1500 full coverage for the year in Atlanta...I'm verrrrrrrrrrrry surprised you haven't been dropped yet. My buddy just got in a wreck in Indiana, did about $10,000 in damage total between his and another car & his insurance company is dropping him...high risk must be awesome!

your CL shouldn't cost you any more for insurance, it is not classified as a sports car...at least when i insured mine...they didnt classify it as a sports car
