you should be fine with the 40 offset. but the tires will hit the plastic in the front fender wells when you turn. mine didnt but thats because i had 205/35/18, but your tire size is alot less stress.. you dont always have to take train tracks slow, and you can hit them city titties with out stressin about you fawkin up your rims. youll be fine.

wouldn't 225/40/18 be bigger than 205/35/18 and would therefore be more likely to rub against the wheel wheels and have the problems that you listed above?

Well isn't this a common tire size? Don't alot of people on this forum have the same size and what are you guys doing when you drop them? Has everyone else rolled their fenders in? What size do you have, PimpCL23, Klepto, Hybridnrg, subbuzz, blackack, silvercl97,
DaInFaMMuS1, starboy2nv, asianspec, and the list goes on and on. Has everyone on here had to roll their fenders in? How do you do it anyways?

well i stuck with the 16's (after market wheels... but still 16's) mine are 16x7 which is the same thing as the stocks on the the 1st gens... i didnt have to roll my fenders cause mine arent wide enuff to cause me to have to.

edit: the lower ur car is and if u have a camber kit can cause u to have to roll the fenders

there are different ways of rollin ur fenders..some use the baseball bat method, and others go to body shops to have it done cause they are afraid to do it themselves. Hybrid has 18's but im not sure if he dunked enuff to have to roll his either. Asianspec.... well..... he's just stock (all day, everyday LOL!!). as for the other guys.. i dont know

Aight fools I didn't mention it in this thread but I also got my hands on a WW lip thanks to 5 speed (thanks again) and it just came in the mail today. I got quoted $170 to get it painted. Here's some pics

this is the box it came in. When I saw it I thought "fra-GEE-lay, hmm... must be italian"

here's my test fitment everything seems to match up just right.

It's been recommended on here that I use a couple screws to also hold the lip down. Where would be the recommended place to apply the screws? I was figuring in the wheel well where it wraps over the bumper. You can see my spot in the first pic where the lip is kinda sagging since it's not taped on. Does that seem like an alright spot. What about everyone else where did you do it at.

Oh I got my rims in but I'm keeping them in the saran wrap until it's time to install. Finally you might notice that I also got clear corners installed, yeah I did those myself but they were a bitch to install, I never knew I'd have to take the engine out and the bumper of just to install clear corners. Word to the wise next time be prepared for that.

Here's a pic of the one rim I unwrapped and yes that's an old school NES with the gun and SEGA and yes they still work.

Damn my room is dusty!!

You put the screws behind the lip on each side and underneath in the middle..It will look good once you get everything installed. I'm sure people would hundreds for the old school sega and nintendo systems.

I missed this earlier today, are you kidding me bro? You thought that was a hard install? It's 2 screws If you think those are hard I wouldn't recommend doing many installs on your car, sounds like you're paying for most of your installs anyway, but I hope you were kidding about the corners bein hard, cuz they're really not, did you use the diy guide?

Oh, and 40 is the way to go with 18's

I was joking about the clear corners. I still don't know if I'm going to the meet. I also don't know if I'd have it dropped in time for the meet. I could have everything else but I don't know about the drop, if so it would be at like the 11th hour before the meet.
