Ok....

So me and this '99 Integra (complete stock) were racing, we did it 3 times.

1. We were going onto the freeway, something like a half mile strip 2 lanes. We were going about 110/115, and he was pulling on me a little bit....We had to slow down though

2. We were at a signal, and we both went. I pulled ahead in 1st gear, and pretty much kept the same distance the whole time until 60/65. His nose was at my rear wheel...I think he was starting to pull (as he said).

3. We were at a signal again, but he pulled a little bit ahead in 1st gear, then I pulled in second. I kept ahead after that, but stayed pretty much the same distance again.

Are the integras really that fast? Or is my car like performance deficient.

1999 Acura Integra GS 5-speed bone stock.

1997 Acura 3.0 CL Premium (Read signature)

Has anyone ever had something like this happen to them? I'm very confused...I thought my car would be a lot faster than an Integra, weighing only 400 lbs more with 60 more HP + VTEC.

 

our cars are pretty slow. They both run about the same times through the 1/4 mile. The teg may actually be a little quicker w/ a good driver. When you were racing on the freeway did you have the car in D3? Cause if it's in D4 it'll usually shift to 4th gear at 100, while if in D3 you can hold it till 110 then shift manually into D4

 

ive never been close to being beat byan integra. i even beat an rsx-s, kind of. the dude was scared to get on it. we were doing like 120. but from 60 till 120 i had him by half a car.

 

yeah when i race my 3.0 i usually leave it in D3 till like 110-120 then shift it to D4.

 

You'll never beat an RSX-S...Unless the driver was shitty.

 

oh i woop the shit out his kid in a RSX-S at the stop light....he didnt know how to lauch right so i leave him in the dust. 2nd time he fucked up again...on the launch and 2nd gear

They have about 0.3 sec slower 1/4 mile, the GS-R is about the same. That's from a dead stop where they can launch well. From a roll, esp higher speed they lose that advantage. You should have taken him.

 

Put some 14" wheels on gaurentee you'll beat um!

 

those damn RSX S are damn fast. I raced a bine stock one and he killed me every time. I raced him 5 fucking times, and the same results. He beat me by about 1 1/2 cars. On the freeway, I lost one too.

 

I used to have a '95 Integra GSR and it would prob take my 3.0...
