only bored cops would pull you over for that garbage. only thing i;ve heard was my brother being pulled over and they wrote up a "fix-it" ticket because his bulbs were blue. i think they said something liek "only we're supposed to have blue lights" i have white lights, never been bothered.

It does vary a little from state to state, but I believe that the general law states that all turn signals on the front of the vehicle must light up amber and all turn signals in the rear of the vehicle must light up amber or red.
That means that if you have clear signal light lenses, you must run an amber colored bulb. The parking lights do not have to be amber unless they are the same lights as the turn signal lamps.
Typically, if a police officer pulls you over for something else, he'll write you up for these kinds of violations, but it's not often that an officer will pull you over specifically to write you a ticket for these rather minor infractions.

Ya it kinda pissed me off when I got pulled over for them. I had mine on the corners of the turn signals. I had a cop pull me over before b/c I crossed the "improved median" and he didn't say anything about them. As long as they're not strobing/blinking/flashing or whatever I don't see what the big freakin deal is! How often do you see a cop pull someone over with solid blue lights? hmmm.. They always seem to be flashing to me. And they're never at the bottom of the car.

white, yellow, orange is safe here. colors(green, red etc) get you pulled over. mostly
in the burbs tho. but you have to have red or amber in the rear

I think here in colorado you're not allowed to have blue or red lights ABOVE teh hood of the car, so no wiper lights
but everything else should be fine. I' djust but on some whites to be safe. what'st eh big deal with blue bulbs anyways?

i was thinking about this thread on my way home today....I saw 2 cars with white blinkers in the back, an old mercedes and a saab. they both have that smoked turnsignal and when it blinks it shines through a dim white....so do you really think you can only have amber/red in the tail?
