If you had $1500

.... to put towards your car, what would you do with it? I was thinking about getting new wheels & tires but then I'd have to most likely lower it a bit, which would probably put me over budget. So far I have only a CAI, tint, trans cooler and a ZEX kit in my car. I just got my bonus so I want to put a bit of it towards my car. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Definitely do springs, sways, and shocks. It will make your ride so much more fun since handling will be improved dramatically. Do suspension first, wheels later. The added stability and cornering is worth every penny.

My car is just so much more enjoyable now that I put in springs/shocks.

You can get the prokit or neuspeeds for around $200

Kyb Agx shocks for $300

I think the Energy Suspension sways are around $300

The install, depending on where you are, would cost around $200-300

What is the benefit of new sways? I'm thinking the prokit/KYB combo is a good idea

The benefit of sways is that they almost eliminate body roll entirely. Upgraded sways are thicker than the stock ones and are able to control more body roll. With springs/shocks/sways you will have almost zero body roll in turns. It becomes a function of how much your tires can take.

drop it and get an alignment. that will set u back about 800 - 1000 and ur stock rims will look 100000 times better when ur dropped so u can hold off on the rims. spend the rest on a cat back to help with ur NOS and maybe squeeze a dc 4-2-1 header to fiurther increase flow. ull get at least 10 more peak hp with ur nos with this setup not to mention at least 5-10 though out ur whole rpm range n/A

he's got a 3.0 - unless he wants to spend probably $10K on a tranny then he probably doesn't want to consider that. you should know this by now.

I paid:

18's (Rims and tires) = $1200 shipped

KYB AGX shocks/struts = $350 shipped overnight (you should be able to get them for about $300 shipped).

Eibach Pro-Kit Springs = $150 shipped (used--you can get them for under $200, shipped--new)

Installation = FREE (did it myself--with help)

$1700 complete!

Shop around, you may find better prices.

Good luck!
