idle probs
Make sure there aren't any obstructions in your air intake. Check for a clogged filter or any debris in the intake tube itself. I'm not sure how anything could get in but if the filter isn't clogged, check the intake tube. It sounds like you're either starving your engine of air or have a timing problem.

ye but I think it started doing that after I got the cai, I thought the air/fuel ratio was lean, so I asked my friend (with a built turbo SI) if I should get the AFC, and he laughed at me....then I punched him
Check the air intake tube. if you still have a rubber tube, it may have a crack in it. this happened to me w/ my old mazda mx-6. i electrical taped it until i have like 40 bucks to replace it.

that could be a cause of it..... clogged filter/intake... f-ed up pcv valve.....
the most likely cause might be what f0de said.... it might be the throttle position sensor that is caught on somehting or just malfunctioning....
a new one costs a preety penny last time i heard.
are you sure that your throttle cable is not getting caught on anyhting for some reason?
I will sit there and it will idle fine at 500rpm, but as the car heats up or cools down it will start to creep down to 400 then 300 and the dash and the rest of the car will shake

Funny how i WAs going to post a topic on this issue AGAIN ! my car has been funny lately ! As i have posted before, the stalling or low rpm problem only occur when i start the engine, it shocks really bad when rpm is low. Now I think about it, i have no cleaned my K&N filter since i bought the filter!! its been what? 20k miles? I tihnk thats why.
Btw, where is the pcv valve?
and how can you check if your throttle position sensor is not working properly? Bring it to dealer?
Thanx

If you can find out the voltage range from idle to full throttle for a properly functioning TPS, then you can take a voltmeter to the sensor and test idle and full throttle. Unless you're under warranty still, then just take it to the dealer.
BTW, I'm still looking for connections in Vancouver for treez. I'm headed up that way in June if you could hook a brother up

And yes, you should definitely clean your filter. I'm not sure, but I think they recommend "recharging" it after like 10k?
Don't know exactly where the PCV is on our car, but it's a plastic thing that should lead out somewhere from the crankcase and looks like a hose connector.
