I wired a relay to the first stage of my motion sensor!

That's what I'd be saying if I really did it...

Now my question is...is it possible? I was thinking you could put a relay between the first stage wire of the sensor and the brown A8 wire on the 12 pin connector. The green wire from the sensor could act as the switch. All you need is power that is only on when the alarm is set. In theoreticaly speaking of which it should seam...it should work.

LOL, LC

Okay, well I really did try it this time and it doesn't work. The green wire has no power or something to be able to trigger a relay.

The only way to make the first stage work is to have a direct 12V + only when the alarm is active. That 12V + could be hooked up to a relay to power the shock sensor only when the alarm is active. Otherwise the shock sensor will sound anytime. I was thinking of using the led indicator as the source but I have to put a volt meter or circuit tester to it to see if it is constant or intermittent. If intermittent I have to find another power source. Then you could hook it up to the A8 pin which is the siren output. However, there's another dilemma here. You have to find out if the output on the shock sensor is negative or positive. If positive you have to somehow get a negative switch to the siren as that's how it is activated. So once you find out how to do this let me know. But I'll let y'all know soon. Been working on this so hopefully I'll get it right by the end of the weekend.

Good Luck,
James

I think I'm done messing with this right now, but good info you got there. Hope you figure this out, that'd be cool
