I Want To Blow My Car Up!
ok... so thursady my battery gave out. fair enough..... i got i replaced.
today...... i was listening to the radio and i turned it up. suddenly the radio cuts off. the clock doesnt come on anymore except really dim. i disconnected the battery... nothing changed after i reconnected it. i checked the fuses under the hood, the radio one is still intact. i checked the amplifier fuse and that is fine. the headunit doesnt turn on anymore. the clock barely comes on now. i had to drive w/o the radio..... WTF!
anyone have a clue as to what this could be? im stumped. this is a weird turn of events from a car that had otherwise been trouble-free.
p.s. all the gauges work and so does the climate control.

Might be the alternator giving out, the radio will only work with a certain voltage, and if its not getting it it wont work. Disconnect the battery with the car running, if it stalls then the alternator is shot... if I stays running who knows what it is... could be something else in the charging system. Take it to a shop and have it checked out... thats all I can tell you. Maybe someone else has another idea...

slap a nasty shot on it for a few days until you throw enough codes to give acura 5 years of work just decifering them all.. take out all the bottles, solenoids.. hosing.. make it look purty.. and roll it through there front door.. that is if its covered.. if not.. i know someone that'll do it for 50 bucks and a bottle of hard liquor

yes.. the car is covered under warranty up to 100k. i'll try the alternator thing and see how that works. i'll also try to get a look at the fuses and see whats going on there.
oh.... and another thing that i realized is that the little horn doesnt honk anymore when i lock and unlock the car. i checked the seetings and it is one the one where it is supposed to make noise.

no word yet on what heppening. someone said it might be the alternator. my car it at home and im away at school so im stuck until i get to see the car again. i was just too lazy to look at all the fuses under the dash after it quit on me. there are about 4 of 5 fuses at leas that i need to cehck and i didnt have the time... or persistance to do it that morning. o well.... i hope i didnt mess anyhting up too bad. fuses are cheaper to replace than a new alpine headunit... or anything else in the system for that matter.
