Talking i want a 3.0!!!

ok you guys i need help I’m looking on a motor swap. My cl has the 2.3 f22 engine but I want the 3.0 v6 so I call up some shops that specialize in motor swapping but turns out most of them said that they wouldn’t know about dropping a v6 from four cylinder they said that it would be harder and more time now I thought it would just be a direct drop in like swapping out a d16 with a b16 on a civic instead they told me the common swap is the h22, So I wouldn’t be able to swap to a 3.0?

no, the engine bays for the 2.3 and 3.0 are completely different. Swap in an H22 and call it a day

it'd be easier to slap the turbo on when the engines outside the car.

and getting a S/C or T/C H22 with an auto-tranny is retarded imho

fun fact, gettin a H22 + auto tranny is cheaper than getting a h22 + manual tranny..

Also you'd have to go turbo. Going SC in an H22 CL would require u to cut into your firewall to make it fit.

hes saying if you buy a H22 that comes with an AT, itll be cheaper than a H22 that comes with an MT.......... which is good, money saving

thing is the H22 Auto is a 180HP motor, the H22 with the Manual is a 200HP motor...... now those 20HPs is a big difference in numbers this low.... but is it worth the extra cash is what it all comes down to

Yeah i dont have any problems with my auto 3.0 eaither, and it's got 108,xxx on it and i treat the tranny like

but as for swapping it in a 2.x..idk why you'd even want that, if you want the 3.0 sell your's and buy another, you'd prob be saving money by doing that instead of trying to swap in a 3.0.

no im sure that a USDM H22 made for an auto tranny is 180 on its own as opposed to the manual version which is tuned to 200..... I think its more tuning than transmission loss

srry to hijack but last night i had a revelation... since us 3.0 ers can put an accord standard tranny w/ our engine what stops us (besides money) from swaping the 3.0 accord engine w/ a 6 speed tranny into our cars

Tranny's don't bolt up the same, firewall needs cut, you're not the first to think of it
