Hey guys, I've got some issues.

My tranny felt like it was starting to slip again so I took it back to mr.transmission with the warranty I had. They told me the tranny is fine but my Linear Solenoid needs to be repaired, and my cars computer has a burnt spot on the contact board. They're trying to push me to do repairs that would total to $1612.87! They said if I don't repair it there they would have to void the warranty if I drove it off their lot because "the current issues will void the warranty" They said the transmission is fine though. I called another shop and they said that was a high quote and to bring it to them. I'm heading over to the other shop in my acura now. Please if anyone has advice I need it. I don't have 1600$ right now.

The tranny jolts into gear or jumps forward when I step on the gas if I'm at a stop or rolling to a stop.

 

The car computer might be the problem. My dad's 3000 GT was having the same problem 2 weeks ago. It would take forever to shift and when it did, it jolted like a mother. He got some shift sensor replaced (it was some sensor with a funky name. might be the Linear Solenoid), same problem, then they found that the capacitors on the car's computer were leaking and burnt up the board pretty bad. When he got the computer replaced, good as new. I'm not sure how much it was. I'll ask when he gets home.
