i installed my PSPEC short shifter. . .
i installed the shortshifter. the height is shorter but the throw is no different from my dc adapter. i don't think it was really worth the money.
i'm selling my dc adapter for 30 bucks is anyone is interested. it's in great condition, and it has the same throw than the pspec short shifter.

sorry for being so stupid....but I really want a short throw on my 99 2.3 5spd and i was wondering if you installed it yourself. And if you did how difficult is it to do?
also, if its easy i might want to buy that adapter

instead of buying a whole kit, I heard that you can get your shifter threaded lower, and then cut the top off...make it as short as you want and dont have to tear apart your console...is this true and would anyone know what place has a threader?

i have the pspec shifter and i like it a lot. I think it feels more solid, its much shorter, and you can shift 10x faster with it. It isnt a whole lot of a shorter throw, but its definately smoother, more sturdy, quicker, and much better overall. The pspec shift boot is awesome also. I dont like the knob though.... i just cut the bottom off my stock knob and i'm using that.
