Hey guys and gals. I heard that there was a recall on our ball- joint long time ago. Is it true? I don't know because I bought the used two years ago. If it is true, can I still tell the dealers to fix it if mine is not replaced yet? I have 97 3.0 .

I believe there was one. I had my vin checked at the time, but my car didn't fall into the recall. I would imagine that a dealer would still have to fix it. I never experienced a recall that expired.

Maybe someone else that had it fixed will post.

 

I actually had mine fixed after it started humming really loud. I paid for it then found out about the recall. This is pretty recently. I contacted my dealership and told them about it. They said Acura would remberse me with a receipt. Haven't been rembersed yet but I bet there in no rush to send me any money.

 

Do a search on the forum...there are plenty of posts for the recall. Its the lower ball joint.
