i know you got the q+a thread going, but isnt that what the whole forum idea is suppost to be.. "ask a question, get an answer".. guess a lot of people dont get that.. and ive had my cl for two months and i wanna sell it, just not enuff performance.. but i like the luxury, really is nice imo.. "if you dont like it, sell it" should be written in stone

Can't say that for me though. 120k miles and the tranny shifts as smooth as you would expect a 10+ year old car to shift.
I just love how these civic kids mess with me with their souped up 1.xl engines and get owned.
The 3.0 actualy beats more out there than what they give credit for.
And how could you not love the sound of the J30 with and intake at Vtec! Makes me "Jizz in my pantssss!"

Those are the only ricers that mess with me around my area. I tried my luck on a G35 that was reving next to me but you all know how that went... 1 - 2 car lengths isn't that bad considering.

I would have loved a stick if they had the option with 3.0s but unfortunatly they don't.. Seems like manuals are getting harder and harder to get a hold of these days.

There are many other cars that only come in automatic on their more powerful models. Take the IS350 for example. even though it's auto, that thing still hauls ass over the IS250 though. Just like the 2.x CL vs. 3.0 CL.

I agree though, sticks are more difficult to come by, especially with lexus. take the SC3/4/430/soarer. The sc300 was offered with a 2jz and a 5 speed gearbox, but only 3,000 were made that way. the SC400, Lexus's v8 high power, rwd, performance coupe, only offered with an automatic transmission. id own one right now if they offered it manual.
What really blows my mind about stick/automatic is how Ferrari offers an automatic transmission. and its not just them, its a bunch of other supercar manufacturers as well. thats just dumb.

I felt the same way for a while. Heavy car, not so great handling, slow, but being on this site and looking at other CL's, I saw potential. I changed the suspension, added a turbo, new wheels and a front lip.
Now with all that, I'm happy with it (not totally yet, need to repaint the bumper) and all them boys in their civics and integras are breaking their necks to look. I have mustangs, g35's, camaro ss and z28's, etc. trying to do things when they pull up next to me (I know street racing is bad so I try to keep it on the track) and the fact that I know and have been able to hang or beat these "faster" cars make me see that this car is worth it so far.
Also, the car is paid for and is bigger, more comfortable than a civic and integra, but just as easy to mod and make fast, the parts are there (just have to use mostly accord parts), looks nice to me and it's growing on me more and last, but not least... I have another car in case I get bored or want/need to drive something else for a while.
