My friend has an STi, and he ordered a nice exhaust system a couple weeks ago, and in the meantime, he took off his whole exhaust till his new one came. Muffler and all. So today we did that to my CL. Just took the muffler off i wasn't gonna keep it, but the thing is, i kinda like how it sounds. haha. its a good alternative till i can afford a nice exhaust, but i'm still thinking i'm gonna put it back on, because isn't it illegal to run with no muffler? i have a restricted license and i'm not trying to get pulled over when im not supposed to be driving for having no muffler.

FL no inpections ftw!, but drivin with no muff is def a pullover if sighted. i guess its only as risky as blu corners, but also that noise will attract attention.

 

yeah i was thinking about that, it's not THAT rice. i had a friend with a mustang with 2 turndowns way up under his car that you couldnt see from the back of it...

i'll take a vid tomorrow. I'll also take pics of how stupid it looks without a muffler i was thinking of just putting the end part of the muffler up there to make it look like i have one, or just doing the wahsers in bolts on the resonator trick. or just buying a nice exhaust system too bad $ is an issue

ummm yeah dude take it easy. i know its stupid to run your exhaust like that, i was just screwing around and i dont have the money to buy anything right now. i'm not saying its good and its sick and i beat V8s now, y0.

blahh no. i gotta bring legal action into it now. i'm actually going down to the courthouse tomorrow to file a small claims case.

 

on the track.. people run with no exhausts.. i think u should put it all back on.. haha.. i mean.. you're runnin on streets w/houses.. and people sleeping in them..

put your muffler back on. Then custom mod the muffler caniser by punching holes in it with a shapened philips head screw driver. Result, you will have a muffler on the car, and it will still sound loud. Make sure you put alot of holes in, ALOT.

Since when is running w/o mufflers illegal. It depends on the car. Srt4's dont come with mufflers for example...

in my 3.0 i unbolted the muffler from the axle back and it sounds pretty awesome. reason why i took it off is because its all fucked up (lowered ride height issues).

muffler-less on a 4.6 or a 5.0L v8 is one thing, even a 3.0L v6 may be able to pull it off..

but a 2.2/2.3L I4? I dont know about that...
