I almost died.

I was on my way to san diego on saturday.

I had lowered my car more that friday. there is a clicking noise while we are driving coming from my passenger side front area. I am assuming it is my suspension... since I still need to get some more front fork mounting rubber since the ones that I got still don't do the trick mother fucker. anyway we get from LA to long beach about 15 miles and the clicking is getting really really loud. we are thinking the CV boot busted but I didn't see any grease leaking before so I didn't think it was that. So my bros tell me I should pull over but I say nah its cool... then I rethink that and pull off the freeway.

I pull off the ramp and onto the shoulder get out of the car and see my lug nut cover is gone and that one lug is sitting on the ground... im like holy shit... I go to my trunk and get the torque wrench out and proceed to tighten the lug... I get to the other ones and 2 of them are about to come off. the last one is pretty loose too... so turns out my wheel was going to come off in about 1-2 miles more... was the freakiest shit I wouldn't ever have though that my wheel could just fall off and that would suck. I've heard its happened to people on here.

So I am assuming I forgot to tighten the lugs on that wheel all the way.

I was going to take pics of the lower car but no camera I'll take some soon it is sunny again in so call. One thing I did notice is that my inner side of my tires are pretty worn on the front and are not bad inthe rear... time for a camber kit.

I had thought I tightened all the lugs all other 3 wheels were fine just that front passenger side has been giving me a lot of problems.

This is a classic problem. LOL. My friend's ford escort. Oh man he got a flat tire and we went FUK! That sucked bad right, but it gets better. So we look in the trunk, damn we got the spare but no tire iron. So we asked for motorist to borrow one etc. etc. So we ended up getting one. Next problem the spare tire is flat. We went u gotta be kidding me. So we got that filled, and then this is the kicker. The spare tire is not for his car. The lug wasn't even close nor did it touch the ground. I went OMG WTF *#*#@*@&!!!.

my bro was driving my car and the tire fell off....he called me when he heard noise and i told him to pull over. So then he calls my dad and my dad said "DRIVE HOME....ITS ONLY 5 MILES AWAY....ITS AN ACURA IT'LL BE FINE"

boy was he wrong.....blew a strut, replaced a lot of other things in the driver side front.

that same thing happened to me but not on a freeway... it was the front right wheel and whenever i took my foot off the gas and coasted it was this loud clicking/ rapid banging noise... i was pissed cuz i thought it was suspension related too but it was just cuz i diddnt tighten my lugs enough after i worked on my brakes. Freaky shit tho. Thank god you pulled off...
