um, i STRONGLY suggest not running anywhere close to that much power w/ that high of compression.

turbo won't be in for a few months.. and then i'll buy 8:1 compression pistons.. for know the 10.5:1 will be perfect for normal driving and hitting with a shot.. as far as weight.. interiors gone.. sound dentining gone.. bumpers gone.. gotta take apart the doors see whats in there.. i'm down to 2700lbs right now.. need new seats still.. and driveshaft.com axles are on their way.. price.. a lot.. heh.. i'd estimate around 7grand w/ motor.. and i got the LSD tranny with the engine

um sure nitrous will be fine, but not that high of a shot. Maybe 100. 10.5:1 compression is pretty high. Theres a reason you don't see many people squeezing high shots on a type R

and also, how big is the downpipe? how big is the manifold?

4" seems a little extreme unless your making close to 500+HP

i understand 4" will help you solve the little amount of back pressure predicament. but if you have too little backpressure fuel charged air flies out the exhaust port. 3" should be suffecient

theres not enough back pressure, and your valves are probally fucked do to this. You shouldn't go more then 2.5" on a motor like ours unless your running forced induction and putting down numbers like fode will be.

fode, i've been thinking and talking to a buddy of mine about your car. What kind of fuel system are you gonna be running? Thats what your first concern should be when using that kind of shot. And also, plan on running like a 100 shot first and seeing how it feels.

Yeah...fode...you'll need a new fuel pump and a extra fuel rail...is the turbo a T3/T4? Not to doubt you...but if you squeeze 175.....You will blow the motor, built or not!!! BTW, you need a cage to run 11.99 and faster. 6 point...if you hit 10s...you need a firesuit and an 8 point cage.

How are you guys even fitting 4" piping under the car anyway? I have 3" on my WRX & it's like there's a sewer pipe under there!

F0de, As Moon mentioned earlier, you're going to need extra fuel support, pump, rail and additional injectors....I'm guessing you'll need stand alone or something (ex. Haltech) to control those extra injectors...you have plans?

definite on the pics.. 8 point roll cage will be in in a few months.. no rush considering the good track here in jersey is closed till next summer.. i might do a g16 or g20 turbo.. depending on prices.. mebbe a t3/t4 with less boost.. dunno yet.. yes i need a fire retardent race suit.. mm heh.. .. as far as fuel a haltech or some variant of DFI is on its way shortly.. and i'll have fun dyno'n it every time the humidity changes a hair.. 175shot/15lbs of boost will be my goal.. i'll start with a 100shot after the motors broken in.. if it likes.. i'll knocker up to a 175.. know anyone that wants to sponsor me? anyone? hehe.. oh and nothing will be left of the car if i'm not in the 11's when i'm done.. it'll be totaled in a lake somewheres... thx for everyones support.. if soopa browsed our lil 1st gen board. i'll def slap a acura-cl.com logo on there so the bigshots can see where we formulate our ideas at

no, why not just run a test pipe and spit it out in the middle of the car underneath

true, it may be boring, but it'll be the most efficient. Side exhaust will look funky esp. w/ that big of a tip. Plus you want the least amount of bends so doing the setup similiar to the one i stated would be your best bet.

I don't think you'll have enough clearance for that big a pipe there. Besides, if you really wanted side pipes, you'd be driving a Cobra.
