turn your wheels to the left.
take out the inner fender.
unbolt the resonator.
put the inner fender back in.
go drive around.

Does removing the resonator only make the car sound louder or is there an actual point in removing it.

You'll need to remove the resonator to install a CAI. Even if you install a short ram, there's no need for the resonator anymore, and it can reduce a few lbs from the car.

I'm not sure what the effect would be when removing the resonator while still using the stock air box.
