How much SHOULD custom piping cost for a 97 CL...

I just bought a magnaflow axleback (Thanks for the little push, shiney) and i want to replace the piping under my car and connect it to that.

how much more or less do you guys think it should cost? or am I missing something here?

Also, update on ordered/received parts:

-AEM CAI (red)
-OBX SS Headers
-UR Ultra SS Pulleys (red)
-Magnaflow axleback Muffler w/tips
-Replacement Master/Slave Clutch Cylinders (blah.)

peace out
-Alex

If it was the whole piping from the muffler to the cat, then at most it would run you is 100 bucks, installed. But you can get it for even cheaper than that.

holy SHEET i hope you mean you paid 120 for the piping and not the muffler. The 14508 itself cost me about 230 shipped ("special ordered...".) On the magnaflow website it costs 240.90 without shipping... so, I guess i did ok with that. I hope.

I also hope it doesnt cost me half a grand to get this installed either... i'll friggen murder someone if thats the case.

$800 with muffer + taxes. It could be cheaper if you dont get stainless steel pipes, but SS will last the life of the car.

man, that number is flipping depressing. At least your avatar is hot I'll probably be hitting up the piping shop tomorrow afternoon since the muffler is supposed to arrive tomorrow too... =]

p.s. - I definitely like a-train's number's much better... here's hoping that they'll resemble that alot more

wish me luck.

I paid $225 for my Apexi N1 muffler, and 100 bucks for the piping and installation. Not too shabby. Took out the resonator as well.

the piping will cost me 135 to replace w/2.25 inch diameter.

I found out the funniest thing today too. The asshat who owned this car before me (and If you are on this forum then F YOU) decided to be cheap as shit and NOT ONLY put a generic muffler but also put 1.75 inch piping when he took out the aftermarket stuff he had on.

my baby's been choking on her own fumes for months now. I cant wait to rip out that garbage this f'ing lunatic stuck down there.

im almost tempted to try and get a refund on the muff I bought at the store and ebay it... holy hell 138...

hey, I think you should go with this guys advice. I just went there adn looked up the 14805 adn it's going for $113 with free shipping if you use the discount code he gave. good shit, you should DEFinitely try for a refund and get it elsewhere. you'll probably have ot pay for shipping back though.

What else is there left to do? You want them to weld on the hangers, muffler, pipe. So what is it that you want to do yourself?

Well, my magnamuff came in today... holy shit those tips are HUGE. I didnt grasp how big they were when shiney took the pics... oh well.

Getting it installed along w/my 2.25 inch piping tomorrow, and maybe I'll also get headers, CAI, Pulley Kit (if it comes in) and master/slave clutch cylinders installed tomorrow as well...

Yes the quietest would be OEM like shiney said, but we all know what you mean. You want more flow without the noise right? Right! I heard the RSR Xmag is only a tad louder than stock.

Maybe you could get larger piping from the cat all the way to the stock muffler and remove the resonator.

Anyone know if the 3.0 muffler has better flow than the 2.x?

Omg. My baby can breathe! I changed out the old 1.75 piping for the 2.25. + the muffler, and the thing sounds gorgeous. My only thing is that at high RPMs it gets REAL loud.

How much louder will it get once I put the CAI in?

And btw, on my way home from rock climbing tonight with 3 other friends in the car, two trucks and 1 accord wanted a piece of me.

what the ell'?

doesn't add to the exhaust noise, but the noise from the intake will add to the total noise at WOT
