How much Horse power will a cold air intake give a 2.3 CL?

 

not much probably around 2-5

 

Thats what I thought, now either my friend was lieing completely, which wouldn't be unusally, or the place where he baught his intake lied to him because he said it added 30 HP

 

hello.... 30 HP with an intake is impossible in any car. the most is probably 7-8,

 

you sure just the intake? what about the stickers on the intake? that's another 5-10HP. a K&N filter gives you another 5-10.

 

Haha, I said I knew he was lying..I was just checking..and seeing how much it would really add

 

haha.... and if you get a AEM the sticker gives you 2-3 extra horse power...... and the INJEN.. that gives you almost 2 extra.... So what if we slap a Lamborghini sticker on the car does that give us and extra two cylinders? ok... I'm nutz....

I had a young kid (poor ignorant kid) that told me I REALLY needed a Tornado fuel manager (as seen on crappy TV).

He SWORE it would give me 10 HP instantly at least! The only thing was that he refused to listen to reason. I may know things about cars but when I hear some other information I usually listen and then analyze it, then modify my views or reject the idea etc. But this kid thought he knew it all and you couldn't tell him otherwise..... Oh well

 

I thought about that tornado thing..... but that's the same about K&N filters though? same kinda philosophy...?

 

Most dyno proven hp on a stock car from an intake is the K&N kit for the ~95 jeep grand cherokee 5.2 V8 it gives 23 horse. It is some bogus ram air kit or something, but that is some mad horse power for about $230.
