CAI's....what a decision....

Im shopping for a CAI for my 2006 TL...I wanted the AEM V2...but as far as I can tell...they dont make the V2 for my make and model....I had an AEM CAI on my 2002 CL-S 3.2....worked greattt...AEM says on their website that their V2 out-performs the regular CAI...they say that you gain 6.8 HP..@5100rpm.....Im open for any and all comments and opinions for which brand offer the biggest bang for the buck?

AEM is the best performance
Injen is good, loudest
K&N also good

These are what most people buy, from my understanding AEM v2 fits all TL 04-08. It states it doesnt fit the Type S, but I believe people run it anyways. If you looking for performance, look into getting a J-Pipe instead

Save your money. If you want the noise then just remove the resonator from the stock box. Go for something with more gains like the previous poster mentioned.

You're also going to piss off the veterans here by posting the same subject twice.

a jpipe just replaces your factory jpipe. less restrictive, more free flowing, direct bolt on. goes in between your exhaust and catalytic converters.

pre cat deletes are our cars version of headers.

just read through this section, rv6 performance sells both of these items.

Doggie!!! Here is your answer. All free except for the filter. A little stock tube creative cutting and a little home depot thermal heat duct metal tape painted black. Shazam. Sounds amazing, breathes like a back alley whore at halftime. MMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!
