for those 3.0 owners, who has done their own tming belt?

how hard is it to replace the water pump, im getting a new pump for basically a 1/3rd of the price

 

i heard it hard as hell on a 3.0

 

its hard, most people have a shop do it

 

i just got a water pump for only 40 bucks brand new in the box and its a real acura/honda part

 

$40 for a part $600 for labor

 

I am going to do it. I am also taking it to a friends shop. I was curious to see if it was a bitch.

I just picked up a haynes manual for the 97 V6 accord and read through it. I know it's slightly different but it didn't sound that difficult. The one and only difficult part seems to be keeping all the gears on mark.

So if you're gonna do it yourself I highly recommend picking up the manual. That's for the 98 v6 accord and i'm sure you knew that.

I'll be doing the change this weekend so i'll let y'all know how it goes. I'll also be changing my rotors on my own as well and I'll let you guys know how it goes.
