how do you reset the ECU?
Klepto, do you mean 10 seconds. Doesn't take that long for the pram to clear. There is another way. If you want to clear the ECU but not lose your radio presets, Pull the secondary clock fuse for 10 seconds. Good luck.
From my V6 headers DIY....(i always figured the more you do to reset it, the more your sure that it actually did..) (yes im aware this is probably the long & hard way...but i always do it)
14. Reset ECU: First, lower the car back to the ground. Remove the ECU fuse in the engine bay (see owners manual) and keep the battery unconnected. Let the car sit for 15 min. Connect the ECU and battery back in. Start the car and let it idle for 15 min. **Do not touch the gas or rev up the car.** (This would be a good time to check/listen for exhaust leaks) After 15 min of idling, turn off the car and turn it back on again. Your ECU should be reset now.

all you need to do is pull the ecu fuse and the radio backup fuse. they are both under the hood. Trust me on this, i have pretty much re-wired my car completely and those are the two power sources for the ecu.
