How do I remove the wiper arms?

How do I remove the wiper arms?
My windshield wiper arms have faded pretty much all over. If I replace the wipers that will get rid of a lot of fade, but the wiper arms themselves have faded. Is there anyway I can remove them to paint them?

Yes, just place a socket on the bolts that hold the arms to the car. They'll come off pretty easily.

I've done this on just about every car I've owned. With time, they get "wind-blasted".
