Does it make a horrible banging noise when the car jerks? Does the car feel bouncier and floatier?

If you hear a banging noise when you hit a bump, its probably one of the bushings. To see if your shock is blown, push down hard once on each corner of the car. If one side bounces a lot more than the others, that one is probably gone.

before you go to sleep, put some cardboard under the car. check it in the morning. fluid on it probably says that the strut is blown.
either that or look at the shaft to see if it is leaking fluid.

Good thing your shock wasn't blown...but wouldn't KYB send you another one cause of the warranty? btw, have you heard of any other shops other than Modhavi that will do the install? I think I might only be another month or so away from H&R sports and KYBS

To get a new shock from KYB you need to have the original receipt, so people KEEP YOUR KYB RECEIPTS.
I wonder if those bolts were loosened during the spring install because I do remeber hearing that noise slightly after the install. OR maybe the stiffer springs rattled them loose more?
Pete, besides Butler and Mahdavi; there's also Engineered Performance (engineered.net), check them out, seem pretty legit.
