Question honda remote?

will a honda remote that looks just like a first gen remote work on the first gen?
my 02 conversion got wet when i got thrown in a pool and i need a new remote, any help would be appreciated and also how would i program it?

ive seen some guys that switch the guts of our remote into the newer TL remotes i believe.. so give it a look

you know what Dale, I remember seeing somebody using a Honda remote that look like ours on a CL. so it should work.

how u been jimmy, i havent seen u on here for awhile,, im pretty sure it will work, u happen to know where i can get a taillight or 2? dont tell me you still need one

The first 2 digits of the FCC # has to match. Even if it looks the same, it has to match. Then you just program it yourself.

oh i dont need tail lights, i need a hood, grill, fender, front bumber, side skirts, rear lip and a paint job. Dale we should meet up some again

yea the honda accord ones will work. just make sure it had the option for the trunk and the spot were the battery goes. i have a 6th generation honda remote because my acura got mud in it from when i went camping in the rain and fell drunk down a hill.

hey HyDrOpOnIkToKa, i got mine done like 2 weeks ago and its better if you get the dealership to program it. when i did mine. i had to reset the security box since it wouldn't start. the dealership didn't charge me anything to program it.
