Hole In The Block

This Has Nothing To Do With Our Cars I Just Have A Claim Wich A Mbr Is Is Claiming That His Veh Hydrolocked And Due To Exesive Cranking(trying To Start Veh) He Got A Hole On His Block I Personally Have Not Seen It Happen But Maybe U Guys Have.what Do U Guys Think.is It Possible I Dont Think It Is Not From Cranking The Engine

Yes you can punch a hole in the block if you get water inside the combustion chamber and try to crank the vehicle to start it.

And that was difficult to read

i think from cranking it u would bend a rod before a hole in the block. but i guess its possible, since it is impossible to compress fluids.

Thats what happens usually, but it is then possible for the broken rod to puch through the block. Happened on my friends Jeep Wrangler. He got water in the intake, then he took off the plugs and cranked it over to clear the water, but he still bent a rod. And once the rod snapped it punched a decent size hole through his block, even part of the oil pan.

that must suck. thats why i dont have a cold air intake.

my friend did the same thing with his 02 mustang gt. and the insurance payed for a new motor. thats tite.
