I don't know about Powercore's racing cat but i got a racing cat that really has no brand off E-bay and yes you can definetely feel the difference.

some have the hookup for the sensor but most dont. i head powercore is really a carsound cat (which is good) with the flages weled on so u can bolt it in. NOT SURE THOUGH. and racing cats are basically straight pipes so they would make the most diff, high flow still reduce pollution, but can flow faster than oem usually.

I ran a test pipe (straight pipe replacing the cat) for a little while, and didn't really notice much gain difference.

Heres mine:

You'll have to trick the ECU if you get a straight through design or one without the 2nd O2 sensor bung.

Heres how

I would only recommend this if you already have a header and cat back.

SO U THINK THAT THE BEST COMBO WOULD BE
HEADERS CATBACK EXHAUST AND HIGH FLOW CATALIC CONVERTER.

OR RACING VERSION

The "racing" ones will always flow better than the "high flow" ones.

Drops plant your tires to the floor better than stock so you get better traction=better acceleration and launch, but does not make your car faster?

I put a high flow CAT, but untill I put on headers I don't think it helped but with headers defenatly. I would go with a DOT approved free flow so you don't have trouble with inspections.

STFU you have no clue what your talking about. dropping it actually fucks your camber up so you'll have less tire to grip with! Unless you get good camber kits, it would actually make you get less traction!

lol SooDARK calm down... this thread is from February 2003 about 9 months ago. So I guess having a high flow cat increases emissions output by a little and you could possibly fail smog but maybe not.

A lot of high flow ones have CARB stickers. But those I seen that have CARB stickers cost like 200-300 bucks.

if they did... do you need to buy a new sensor? or is there already one there on the OEM cat you can remove and plug into the new cat?

sorry i didn't mean the censor itself, i meant the plug in for the censor. you use the stock censor, but i don't think the ebay ones have the "bung" as neijedb called it.

I've got the random technology:

Accord 98-02 - 3.0L - 822008

Bolts right on (two O2 sensor bungs). Noticed a solid performance jump on the top end.

Now is that a high flow cat, or a race/straight pipe. What price did that run you? I would imagine that you can notice a difference in noise level minus the cat?
And anyone who asked about the o2 sensor, if you don't have it installed, get ready to see a check engine light.

Did you order it straight from the manufacturer, or from a retailer? What did you pay?

Thanks!

Give us the details on where you got it from! It bolts up straight to a 3.0CL??

The cheapest I saw was $210. I didn't do a real thorough search.

Its a high flow cat that is supposed to be street legal.

The cat increases the exhaust noise.

I picked mine up for $220 from:

http://www.lightningmotorsports.com/...technology.htm

Def. worth it if you have headers and exhaust.

The random technology one works on the 2.2/2.3. I think that is the only cat that has the o2 senser for our cars.
