HIDs deciding what temp to get.
HIDs deciding what temp to get.
alright... i'm all for getting an HID kit now... just debating on what temp/color. The ones that i'd be happy with are the 6k since they are the brightest.... 10k the deep blue... and 14k purplish...
but maybe not the 10k because most cars have that blue color already... therefore i might wanna do the 14k purplish ones because it may seem more classy... because not everyone has purple... i've been told the visibility on the 10k and 14k is about the same... but the 6k is the brightest... so therefore. I'm not sure what to get!!! ahHH. So what would u guys want ur front lights to look like.... on a Black CL that is.
options...
6k white brightttttt
10k deep blue
14k violet/purple
thanks people!!!

i think i might try to get it from http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1224207 this guy... there isn't a 4300k option.
but why 4300k? and not 6k?

14k wtf please dont. 14k is just fucking rediculous, your output will be shit and you'll get pulled over so fast. Why dont people ever do some research on HID's before they buy anything?
please go over to www.hidplanet.com/forums and edumacate yourself on some things before making a purchase
in short, the higher the kelvin ratings the worse your output will be. The newer tl's/cl's/benz's etc use 4300k bulbs. 4300k is the happy medium and produces the best output. anything above that reduces output in favor of some color tinting (the beam appears more blue, purple, whatever). I always see these rediculous 14000k hid kits on ebay from some no name manufacturer and I just cant help but feel sorry for the people that get suckered into buying those things
I have no idea how many times ive had to explain this to people. PLEASE do your research before buying things!

guys once you go high in kelvins for HIDs you lose output and brightness
bulbs color shift at 100 hours, and will turn a more bright white/blue when 100+ hours hit with 4300k bulbs
i would personally go with 4300 oem bulbs, i know they will last longer than any other HID bulb out there that is higher rating
but then again, who says i know anything about HIDS ( thats being sarcastic )
do a search ive talked about this many times before, and if you want more info go here
www.hidplanet.com/forums
im a avid member on there and they have lots of info, but projectors is the only way to go if you do HIDS and if anyone has seen my new setup or VXCL's old setup will know projectors is the only way to go when doing HID's
