Depends, do you have a 2.x or a 3.0?

3.0's are not friendly for HID ballasts, I have pics but not since I mounted my one ballast, I can take some tonight

My driver's side one is mounted to the inner fender area next to my cold air intake

My passenger one is wedged in between some brake lines, the only good place I could find, I'll post pics tonight

Same as mine i zip tied my passenger to the brake lines, and drivers side to fender well. With the plastic trim you can't even see em. But yea I installed some on a 2.x it was much easier

you should screw it in. that double sided tape thats supplied acts like shit
i cant see why a 3.0 would be so much diff from a 2.x. i used the inned fender linning by the side marker. that small flat part. i screwed them in place. worked great

^I thought 3.0's have a lot more stuff crammed into the front corners of the engine bay by the headlights. Cuz i have a 2.2 and all i had to do was mount them flat on the metal underneath and behind the headlights, looks pretty good actually, and i used the 3m double sided tape, cuz mine didn't come with tape, and i didn't feel like screwing into something

^that's not that bad, super ghetto is screwing into things in plain site and putting your ballast there. on of my buddy's ballasts is screwed into the side of his shock tower, and it's facing you if you open the hood, now that's

3.0's have a LOT less space to work with, even after removing the stock intake

When I had HIDs, I just mounted them in plain sight. As a few of you have seen, I don't care how my engine bay looks. I was more worried about protecting them from water than how they looked.

True but supposedly they are water proof. Not sure how much they will back up that claim though.

^i think i remember seeing a video by one of the companies where they dropped the ballast into a jug of water, while it was all connected and running, or something like that IIRC

They are supposed to be, but honestly, I doubt the $80 eBay ones I had would handle it. The KAIXEN or another good brand I'd trust.

I have oem ones and there's no way they're waterproof and they're freaking hellas, I have them in protective cases and still wouldn't do it, just bs marketing if you ask me, unless you're paying 2-300 for some kaixens or something, and even those i have my doubts

Took some pics for ya while I was working on my engine wiring, here's where i mounted my ballasts in my 3.0 engine bay, they have xenondepot cases on them, that's why they're thicker

Driver's side by the intake and battery

Passenger side, tucked by the brake lines with a bunch of stuff moved, but you can see the rectangle I'm talking about
