go to installs, theres even a way on there to trick your o2 sensor so it doesent come on.

Cars built in the mid ninetys and later COME with what would essentially amount to a high flow cat. They don't come with anything resembling an AEM V2 intake.

its way different from stock.. besides the baffles..i put mine on and my car went from a constant low rumble to what sounds like an srt-4 girgle. i took it back off, but only cause it was 1.5" too short and pulled my tips really close to the bumper. now i got it streatched, and i do plan on puttin it back on as soon as i make the o2 sensor mod.

IMO a "high flow cat" (which is really a test pipe with the honey comb looking shit inside to muffle a little bit) is a dumb thing to add. itll make your car louder(which is sometimes needed but to a point), more annoying, and VERY raspy and ricey sounding at high rpms. all three of the people i know who have test pipes, the obx thing or an ebay one or even hollowed out the cat, thay have all ended up sounding pretty shitty and they all regret the decision. so if you were to go get an actual high flow cat, catco makes them.

The ricey sound you get from "straight pipes" also comes from having shitty exhaust/engine type/pipe size.....and a few lil factors. Try saying the cars at the tracks sound "ricey". Those things are sick, and nothing beats the sound of a back fire. My car is straight piped, cant see myself without it. As well as all my friend's. The only car that sounded close to ricey straight piped, was my friend's EM2, but then again he has a crappy muffler.

so do "high flow cats" not have naything in them to change exhaust gases, or are htey just a more efficent way of doing it?
If I were to put one in, would I not pass emiisions?

they are basically atest pipe, the obx one and ebay ones are strait through and have the honey comb looking stuff thats in after market mufflers to quiet it a bit, but catco after markets i think are diff, dunno tho.
emiisions, if you buy ebay or obx, doubt it, but catco, not sure aagain sry

You would not pass emissions because in a real cat there are these little balls that soak up a gas that ur Motor makes(i forget the name of it) in a Hi-Flow cat those little balls are not there and that is the easiest way to put it. it reaks haha but it sounds good and l enjoy it alot you can tell that it isnt as restricted anymore i have pics of the old vs. new and installing if you would like them.

You will pass emmissions with high flow cats. Practically they are made with less catalyst making them "high flow", but nevertheless, does in fact function like a normal cat. They will say they are legal high flow cats on the box, or say that they'll pass emmissions, blah blah blah.
Test pipes, race pipes and straight pipes will not pass because it is hollow, thus meaning there in nothing in it! There is no catalyst in the pipe, it's just goes straight through like normal piping.
Hope that helps clear some things.
