Hey CLpower.............

Quick question about rubbing with 225/40/18 on 18x7.5 rims with 45mm offset.

I think you had this setup on your Cl with it slammed. Just wondering if the tires would rub against the outside of the fender.

The reason i'm asking is because my springs have now sagged well past a 2 inch drop and I got new rims but I don't want to put them on if they are going to rub. I'd rather go with a 215/40/18. My stock tires right now are extremely close to rubbing.

Any info is appreciated........

mine rubbed a bit on the inside of the fender liner. I think this was because of the camber actually. I was a good 2.5" down. I think w/ a camber kit you might be fine. But i rubbed a lil bit. And you WILL need a camber kit being down that low.

Thanks for the info...

When you say you rubbed a little bit was it in the rear or front. Also could it have been fixed by hollowing out the fender a little bit....

in the front. aND yes hollowing out the fender a bit would help. But i suggest trying a camber kit first, because it's definately gonna be needed to save the tires. i went threw w-10's in 7K down to the metal.

Yeah I think I will try a camber kit. Took my car in for alignment today and the rear wheels are about -1.7 degrees on the left and -2.0 degrees on the right. Surprisingly the front tires are a little better.

It sucks, the bastards scraped the bottom of my car when they were driving it onto the hoist.

at least you didn't have a problem finding someone to align it. I had to go to probally atleast 20 different places and no one could do it. I had to drive an hour to a place that would

8.5 is to wide. 7.5 is perfect for 18's. I'm not sure about 19's though.
