you should have a shop put a rise in your hood like the 2g eclipses. might look ok and if it doesn't who cares, its functional.

Already lookin into a custom hood, my buddy has a shop & he says he'll make it proper so I'm gonna leave it in his hands but i want maximum ground clearance so it's more than likely gonna look intense..

Wait & see..

I think he's well beyond that, if cocoa had to cut all the cross members out of his hood and still had issues, I imagine allan is having the same issues.

Custom hood though?

I've thought of just propping up the back but it would have to be really jacked up & that's

what I really want is to drive with no damn hood..

There's a guy local to me with a black 2nd gen Miata with a 302 in it that does that... Saw him cruising through town and the 302 intake manifold popping up where the hood would've been...

I HATE those cutout hoods. Only one I've ever seen that I liked was Franklin's.

We cut our motor mounts to lower the engine a bit. It helped a lot, but didn't solve the issue.

Keep in mind that when you go WOT, the engine moves therefore hitting the hood if there isn't enough clearance. I have that issue causing my manifold paint to scrap off

And to add, the gap I have on my stock hood wasn't as bad as it looks now. When I cut my hood support off, since it dropped 5lbs in weight, the hood became more flexible, and didn't sit as low as it use to due to the lack of weight. I didn't predict/calculate that would happen...

Well I haven't updated this in awhile since nothin has really changed. Work is taking up the majority of my time & it's been killin me that this thing is just sitting..

Anyways, I'm finally back with the car today since it's a holiday here & I arrived to some goodies..

Chasebays brakeline tuck kit..

Chasebays brake booster delete..

Everything is perfect except I didn't get the backing plate to bolt the brake booster to the firewall..

Soo fuckin annoying that after all this time waiting I still don't have it all..lesson learned

as for the car, I'm selling some parts from the parts car so I have money to go back into the car & get this thing rollin again..

Wish I had a better update but be strong boys..I know I'm trying to be lol

Hasport has made new adjustable mounts that will let the motor fit under the hood.
But then you will have to deal with exhaust clearance issues

Wow I would hate to see a detailed list of how much money you are going to have in this thing (not including labor). I can just imagine from what i have seen that you have purchased (even when taking out the extra CL-S you bought) and it would probably be more than I make in a year on disability

Oh it's not a cheap project..

The parts car alone was 6gs but the money I'm getting back from parting it out helps out since the swap alone is like 4-5gs & I have everything I could need..

Moral of the story... You gotta pay to play & nothing is gonna be spared on this beauty..

I've been MIA for a bit & the only update is that there isn't one

since the last update my mom decide to put the house for sale, so I haven't been able to do a thing since the garage is filled with shit. Now everythings on hold AGAIN since I have to find a place that I'm comfortable with to store the car & be able to work on it but of course it's easier said then done, unless it's at a friend of a friends shop & that just doesn't fly with me having randoms around my car when I'm not around.

On the plus side though, I did talk to a fabricator & he gave me a sick price on fabricating my mounts & FINALLY get that bitch planted in there. The only thing is that the car would only stay there for a week MAX, then I'm shit out of luck on where to store it.

I'm gonna try and sweet talk my dad to let me bring it back to my garage so that I can work on it any time instead of like once a month but like I said it's gonna take some sweet talking and some bribes on my part, wish me luck.. lol

be strong boys, she's comming & she'll be terrorizing ppl in due time..
