Help with wiring

I removed my center console today to do some maintenance work and saw that there is a plug connected to nothing next to the clock. well i was wondering what those cables were? are they the basic power, ground, ignition ? i believe there are four. im asking because i want to add accent lights to the car but would like to add a switch in that location and that makes its alot easier .. wont need to cut into the lighter cable.. PLEASE IF anyone has done anything with those wires .. be kind enough to inform me

you need to look at wiring diagrams and learn to read them. only then you can do what you want to do

Hard to say for sure without pics or knowing 97 vs. 98-99 but if you have a 98-99 there will be a female connector behind the blank knockout plate opposite the hazzard switch. That is part of the prewiring for the factory fog lights.

Yep, it's most likely the wiring for the stock fogs
