Its really not bad at all. Just pop out the trim piece around the radio and disconnect the clock and hazard light connections. Then you will see two screws under the tape deck or pocket which you just loosen up and it should slide out if i remember correctly.

How do you pop off the trim piece?

you can use a screw driver to pry a corner of it out and go around it pulling it off. Just be careful not to scratch or dent the pieces around it, it should just pop out.

if you disconnect your factory HU, you will disable your alarm because it is run throught the HU.

This isnt true cause i know alot of people have changed headunits including me and havent had a problem with their alarms. I know on some cars like the civic (i think its the civic) you will lose your alarm but on this car you should be fine.

How did u get the understanding that the alarm is connected to the stock stereo? Someone's been driving Civics too much.

The stock alarm and remote door release is located below the passenger seat.

You can make the headunit fit w/o a kit. But it takes more work. Looks alot better.

I got the Kenwood x715. What do I have to do to make it fit? I want it to look good, and want to keep it looking like stock install.

Well i had the CD and tape deck and the dealership took my pocket when we bought it and had them install the tape deck. We bought it new so that was like over three years ago and they arent going to give it back so i need to get a new one i guess.
