i had a same problem with my car, first my battery died then my alternator went and then the SRS light went on, the only place that can reset it for you is the dealership, no other place could do for it they just basically didnt know how, and also i suggest you go to them ASAP, cause if you crash, non of your airbags will pop out, trust me... i've crushed my shit, with the SRS light ON ...

ps; Dealership only charged my $100, just to reset the light

Happed to me about two months ago. I took it in to the dealer and the asswipes charged me $70 to reset it! They said it wasn't covered under the extended warranty because it wasn't really 'broken.' Coincidentally this happeded just a little before my alternator went out....

I finally reset mine myself after a year. I first took it to the dealer and he said the airbags were fine. He quoted me over 300 bucks to replace the sensor as opposed to resetting the light.
After plenty of research, on this forum, I found out how to reset it. I can post pics of the connector to jump, with instructions tonight....Its very easy!!! HOWEVER, MAKE SURE YOUR CAR IS CHECKED BY THE DEALER FIRST!!! You dont want it to be a bigger problem.

Ok here goes, U can use a bent paper clip. It works just the same. The yellow connector is on the driver's side on the lower left side above the fuse box. Pic attached: GOOD LUCK!
Here is the proceedure

1. Turn off ignition

2. Connect the SCS service connector (or paper clip) to the 2pin connector wire you disconnected is now hanging from a thicker harness.

3. Turn on ignition

4. SRS light comes on for 6 sec and then goes off. Before it has been off 4 sec, Remove the SCS connector.

5.SRS light turns on again. Reconnect the SCS service connector withen 4 sec of light coming on

6. Light goes off, remove connector witeh 4 sec after light went off.

7. SRS light blibks 2 times telling you the memory is erased.

8. Turn ignition off.

Takes a little practice! PLEASE MAKE SURE IT IS NOT A MORE SERIOUS PROBLEM FIRST.
