not sure what happened but yesterday i started my car and didnt have any problems with it startin.... but when i parked i noticed that i had what looks to me like oil sitting underneath my exhaust like it had leaked out of the exhaust tip....only like a quarter sized spot of oil..so today i go to start my car and it just wont turn over.... is there anyone out there who has had this problem... my first thought was the battery but the battery is fairly new .... anyone with some useful info it would be much appreciated .thanks

 

WEll, that really isn't enough info to say. Yes, the battery could prevent turn over. Is it turning over but won't start and stay running?

Not sure about the oil at the exhaust, that could be a number of blown gaskets or seals.

 

yeah when i go to crank it, it just wont turn over.... im just confused cause like i said it ran fine yesterday and this mornin i got nothing...

 

ignition recall?? never heard oil out of exhaust...sure its not water?

 

i didnt know there was a recall on the ignition.... yeah i checked to see if it was water, it was def oil ....

 

Yes, there is an ignition recall. Acura sent me a letter about it. You can also check on the owners section of the Acura site after registering. Either that or check with the dealer and they will replace for free.
